Sirei is a character in The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy-. He is the students' commanding officer and the principal of Last Defense Academy.
Appearance[]
Sirei is a white, ghost-like creature, with a brain and a heart visible through his semi-transparent body. He has black, shiny eyes, and a mouth which curls up at the sides. He wears a black hat with a silver badge on it, as well as a small, red bowtie.
Personality[]
Sirei commands with an authoritative, almost dictator-like tone, treating the group as subordinates under his leadership. His speech is commanding and rigid, yet laced with an eccentric and enigmatic air, making it difficult to discern his true intentions. Despite his cryptic demeanor, Sirei demonstrates an awareness of human needs, as evidenced by his suggestion to secure food before delving into more serious matters.
While he demands strict discipline, he strongly dislikes internal conflicts within the group. Sirei prefers unity among the students, believing that cooperation is the only way to stand against the invaders. Though his methods may be harsh, there are hints that he genuinely wishes for the group's survival—though whether it’s out of care or necessity for the main mission, which puts his own life at stake, is still unclear.
Caution: Major Spoiler about Sirei's Character
Even though Sirei is fundamentally an AI robot designed to serve humanity’s will, he occasionally shows a faint, almost imperceptible sense of paternal affection for the “baby” (Undying Flame Boy). He often vents to the baby during his work hours, though this emotional connection is subtle and difficult to notice.
Despite these fleeting moments of sentiment, Sirei remains unwavering in his dedication to fulfilling humanity’s wishes. Even if all of humanity were to perish, he would still consider their last words as their final request and do anything in his power to fulfill it—no matter the cost, even if it means harming the members of the Last Defense Academy.
Sirei is driven by the need to maintain control over every situation, which is why he often resorts to brainwashing without hesitation. He seeks to ensure that his decisions are never questioned or overpowered. However, despite his rigid nature, Sirei has been known to be swayed by logical reasoning from the group, and he may accept their decisions if they present a compelling case. In such instances, he often spends his time either working or communicating with the will of humanity, reinforcing his sense of duty.

Sirei (stylized as SIREI in the Japanese version) is based on the Japanese word for commander 司令, "shirei".

- Sirei's design is similar to that of beta-Monokuma, which also had visible organs within its design.[2]
