The Hundred Line Wiki

The Hematomorphic Infusion Blades (我駆力刀 Gakuryokuto ), known as Infusers for short, are said by Sirei to be a human invention that allow the transformation of regular human blood into superhuman Hemoanima. They are used by the students of the Last Defense Academy.

Description[]

A lot is unknown about the Infusers. Sirei calls their invention the "pinnacle of human achievement and ingenuity." It is unknown where they store the Hemoanima within them, how they infuse and discharge it into the body. The fact that they are kept on a specific rack in the War Room when the students are off-duty, rather than kept on them on all times in case of attack, implies that they need to recharge.

They have the appearance of little knives with sheaves, with the ability being activated when the user stabs themselves in the heart with it, burying it up to the hilt in their chest. Any damage caused through this piercing is seemingly healed very quickly, as in the part of the Hemoanima transformation where the heart begins to pump hard, it appears completely undamaged.

Each student has their own, personalised Infuser. When the students are exploring outside of the academy, they keep the Infusers strapped to their waists.

The Finishing Blow shows that if a Hemoanima user stabs another Hemoanima user with an Infuser, the latter's Hemoanima will be drained, leaving a husk-like corpse behind, while the former becomes more powerful. It is unknown what prompted Hiruko Shizuhara to use the Infuser directly on the commander, rather than just using her weapon as before, however her dialogue afterwards seems to imply that she was already aware that the Infusers could be used in such a way, although she's unsure exactly how the process itself works.

Trivia[]

  • Each student's Infuser is personalised, with blade having the student's name written on it, and the end of the hilt having their number written on it.
